This is a unionized position on afternoon shift (3pm - 11pm) in Unifor Local 252, reporting to the Facilities Manager, and based out of our Sterling location at 72 Sterling Road, Toronto, Ontario, M6R 2B6.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Must show initiative and responsibility to carry out assigned work promptly with minimum supervision
  • Proactively execute the needs of a 24/7 operation while being able to respond to changing demands with short notice.
  • Need to have good mechanical / literacy aptitude
  • Must have a good attendance record
  • Overtime work may be required including weekend
  • Flexible to be called in on weekends and off-shift
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
  • Follow all GMP Rules & Regulations and Quality Checks
  • Work according to ISO 14001 Environment and OHSAS 18001 Safety requirements
  • Ensure compliance with the Nestle Quality Management System (NQMS) and quality policy.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Ontario Steamfitter license (307A)
  • Trained and experienced in Maintenance of piping and plumbing systems
  • Experience in pump and valve maintenance is an asset
  • Experience in food or pharmaceutical industry is preferred
  • Can thoroughly understand company policies and procedures.
  • Strong computer skills, with working knowledge of factory systems and SAP is highly desired.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and excel at working within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and leadership skills and can deliver results through people.
