Role Summary:
The objective of this summer internship is to develop a prototype R Shiny application that guides statistical programmers in selecting and implementing appropriate data visualizations and analytics in R based on specific use cases. A key deliverable will be the identification of suitable visualization methods, and the provision of runnable, well-documented R code tailored to programming needs. The intern will collaborate closely with colleagues in Statistical Programming and Biostatistics. In addition to the visualization work, the intern will support piloting a new data platform for deploying the Shiny application. This will include learning how to set up a new environment, using Git for version control, and deploying the R Shiny application within the platform. The work will advance Alexion's R workflows by providing a guided visualization tool and demonstrating deployment in a new data environment.
