Bring your fresh perspective, develop your strengths, break out your mold, and find a career that fits your dreams with us.Click on the link below to learn what our employees have to say about Evonik:RESPONSIBILITIES\xc2\xb7 Responsible for the operation of the high-pressure steam boiler plant, air compressors, steam distribution system, condensate recovery system, wastewater handling, and process plant equipment.\xc2\xb7 Responsible for the preventative maintenance and breakdown repair of utility and process plant equipment.\xc2\xb7 Responsible for chemical treatment of the steam, condensate, and wastewater systems.\xc2\xb7 Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the plants fire suppression systems.\xc2\xb7 Monitor utility system equipment using a distributed control system.\xc2\xb7 Follow standard operating procedures when carrying out routine duties.\xc2\xb7 Respond to emergency scenarios involving fire, HAZMAT, and EMS at the plant site.\xc2\xb7 Return safety critical plant equipment to operation after production upsets.\xc2\xb7 Complete preventative maintenance work orders assigned by the maintenance planner.\xc2\xb7 Issue work permits for employees and external contractors.\xc2\xb7 Ensure accurate records are maintained for matters that may affect the safe management, operation, and maintenance of the steam plant, utility system, production plant, and safety equipment on site.\xc2\xb7 Provide Technical Manager with recommendations for improvements equipment, operations, training, workflows, etc.REQUIREMENTS\xc2\xb7 The incumbent shall have a minimum Grade 12 education and valid Ontario 3rd or 4th Class Operating Engineer\xe2\x80\x99sLicense.\xc2\xb7 Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A) license is considered a strong asset. Must be willing to pursue certification through apprenticeship as required.\xc2\xb7 Oral and written proficiency in English and Math is essential.\xc2\xb7 In addition, the incumbent shall have experience operating compressed air, condensate, fire suppression, and water treatment systems.\xc2\xb7 The incumbent shall also have an acceptable level of maintenance experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial plant equipment.\xc2\xb7 Ideally the candidate will have experience with computer-based maintenance management systems such as SAP.\xc2\xb7 Ideally the candidate will have experience with operating distributed control systems.\xc2\xb7 Ideally the candidate will have experience with Microsoft Office products.\xc2\xb7 The ability to work independently, organize and prioritize tasks is essential.\xc2\xb7 Previous work experience in a chemical or industrial facility is preferred.\xc2\xb7 Previous experience using a forklift would be an advantage.\xc2\xb7 Ability to effectively work as part of a team and independently with little supervision.\xc2\xb7 Must be flexible to take on new duties as required; take initiative to solve problems; take ownership of the outcome of their work.Your ApplicationTo ensure that your application is proceeded as quickly as possible and to protect the environment, please apply online via our .
