Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Guard to join our security team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining safety and security at our designated locations. This position requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. As an Armed Guard, you will be entrusted with protecting property, personnel, and assets while ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter and detect unauthorized activities or breaches of security. Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, taking appropriate action as necessary. Conduct thorough surveillance using CCTV systems to ensure the safety of the premises. Enforce company policies and procedures while maintaining a visible presence to promote safety. Provide assistance during conflicts or disturbances, utilizing conflict management techniques to de-escalate situations. Conduct regular inspections of security equipment and report any malfunctions or issues. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary and provide detailed reports on incidents or observations.

Skills

Proficient in First Aid and CPR techniques to provide immediate assistance in emergencies. Background in law enforcement or military service is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of surveillance systems including CCTV operation for effective monitoring. Experience in security practices and loss prevention strategies to safeguard assets. Excellent conflict management skills to handle difficult situations calmly and effectively. Ability to remain alert and focused during long periods of monitoring duties. Requirements

Valid RPAL Valid Ontario Security License Valid CPR & First Aid (Level C) Valid G Drivers with a clean drivers abstract Must be able to complete ATC training as a condition of hire.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00-$24.00 per hour
