Job Description

We operate two (2) adjoining hotel properties in Richmond Hill, the Sheraton Parkway Toronto North Hotel and the Best Western Parkway Hotel. We are conveniently located at the north east corner of Highway 7 and Leslie Street, just west of Highway 404. We are readily accessible by Highways 7, 404, 407 and Leslie Street. We offer complimentary parking. We are also readily accessible by public transit (YRT/ViVA).

We are currently recruiting for a full time barista to join ours lobby Starbucks team in our Sheraton hotel lobby.

:

Create and maintain a positive experience for customers, preparing and serving food & beverage as required by customer, while maintaining both Starbucks and Sheraton standards.

Responsibilities as follows:

- Must be available to work weekends

-Must be legally authorized to work full time hours in Canada

-Prepares and serves beverage and/or food items as required by customer

- Handles sales and monetary transactions using POS system

- Maintains store cleanliness and order at all times

- Maintains store stock at all times

- Assists with inventory counts as required

- Communicates clearly, concisely and accurately with co-workers, managers and customers

- Demonstrates integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of both Starbucks and Sheraton

- Maintains and models a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events; continues to keep outlet operating to standards and sets a positive example for the shift team

- Engages in conversation with customers to understand customer needs

- Models a "customer comes first" attitude, delivering exceptional customer service at all times

- Identifies concerns and areas for improvement and brings forward to supervisor/manager

- Other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor, Manager and/or General Manager

Job Requirements:

- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Must have the ability to speak English clearly and distinctly

- Must have the ability to read and write English

- Must have barista experience (previous Starbucks experience preferred but not required)

- Must have strong organizational skills

- Must be able to use POS (Point of Sale) system

- Must be self-motivated and detail oriented

- Must be able to work with minimal or no supervision
