Support technical team on a range of projects, and work with advanced CADSIM and information systems on dynamic modeling and simulation, gaining practical experience that complements your university studies. Work closely with process engineers, supervisors and operators.
Contribute to the delivery of high-quality technical services in a sophisticated manufacturing facility.
Develop a working dynamic simulation model of interconnected unit processes, which will benefit our operations immediately.

  • Participer a des projets speciaux sur demande.
  • Participer au modale de simulation en temps reel pour l'ensemble de l'usine, dont des parties ont ete elaborees par des ingenieurs et stagiaires de RYAM.
  • Projet de KPI avec B3, statistique et support aux projets CI
  • Revue du processus de preparation de la fin de mois pour les produits chimiques
  • a?laborer et presenter des rapports d'avancement et des rapports finaux pour tous les projets.

People

  • Maintain a communications program to keep your team informed regarding mill and department priorities.
  • Support compliance with collective agreement and sound union/management/employee relations.
  • Report to the Technical Site Manager.
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Participate in special projects on request.
  • Participate in the real-time simulation model for the entire plant, parts of which were developed by RYAM engineers and interns.
  • KPI project with B3, statistics and support for CI projects
  • Review of month-end preparation process for chemicals
  • Develop and present progress and final reports for all projects.
Some examples of current and past projects:
  • Assist in the planning and execution of the simulation model.
  • Develop a monitoring system for the consumption of chemicals used in water treatment.
  • Update equipment databases.
  • Mass balance from the chips to the pulp produced
  • Conduct a survey on seasonal quality issues and sludge settling secondary to water treatment.
The incumbent will prepare progress presentations and final reports on all projects.

REQUIREMENTS: What you bring to our workplace
  • Education: Enrolled in a university chemical engineering program (2nd year)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Interpersonal and communication skills.
  • CAD experience preferred.
  • Bilingual: English and French (spoken and written) preferred.
