The Landing Gear Market specializes in the design, qualification, manufacture and repair and overhaul of landing gears and flight critical components to a customer base that extends from the OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to the Operators in both the commercial and military markets.
Summary of position:
Reporting to the Engineering Support department, within the Heroux-Devtek design office, you will actively participate in improving the design and technical preparation of the landing gear designed by Heroux-Devtek. In terms of life cycle, you will be involved in the production and support phase of our products.
Main responsibilities:
More specifically, under the supervision and in collaboration with members of the support team, you will be responsible for:

• Receive and understand change requests from purchasing, production and product support

groups.

• Propose solutions to the problems raised
• Implement changes on our engineering drawings
• Suggest improvements to our design standards
• Monitor and report progress on your files

Through your internship, you will have the opportunity to discover the different stages of the life cycle of a development product, from the design process to technical preparation. You will also have the opportunity to interact with purchasing, method and quality teams from our various production and product support sites, and to understand the essential interaction between design and field teams.
