Overview


XMC is looking for an energetic and driven Staffing Manager who's ready to take on new and exciting challenges with Canada's Official Experiential Marketing(TM) Agency.

This role is ideal for an experienced people leader with deep recruitment expertise and a commitment to developing high performing field teams. They are a dynamic thinker with a positive approach to leadership, who builds strong client relationships and delivers consistent results. Experience within the alcohol and beverage industry is a strong asset, as this role will primarily support client programs in this category and requires an understanding of category compliance, responsible service, and premium brand representation standards.

The Staffing Manager will serve as the main point of contact for the client and on premise account partners, overseeing portal data input, scheduling, and ongoing communication to ensure smooth program execution.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



Leader in XMC staffing solutions department and effective program management Supports and develops marketing strategies/plans for alcohol sampling programing Lead, mentor, and support a team of Staffing Coordinators and Field Staff Own recruitment strategy and deployment plans for national alcohol sampling programs Collaborate with account leads to forecast staffing needs and allocate internal resources accordingly Review staff and client feedback and event data to drive performance improvements Strong understanding of responsible service regulations (e.g., Serving It Right, Smart Serve, etc.). Understanding of the pace, timelines, and logistics that come with high-volume, sampling staffing

Strategic Staffing & Program Management



Oversee all staffing functions across all programs, from hiring and onboarding to on-site compliance and payroll Design and execute scalable hiring campaigns to build talent pools for on-premise and sampling events/programs Develop regional staffing strategies Work closely with field teams to evaluate and optimize program delivery Proactively resolve high-impact field issues, such as last-minute cancellations, underperformance, or retail partner concerns Cultivate ongoing relationships with top-tier talent for rapid redeployment

Payroll & Administration



Maintain accurate tracking systems for shift scheduling and payroll Input, review, and approve staff timesheets and expense submissions Upload payroll documents to the appropriate folders and internal systems Work with Ceridian payroll systems and/or ATS as required Develop, manage and reconcile program budgets for staffing operations

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED



Post-secondary education in Business, HR, Marketing, or a related field 3+ years of experience in staffing or talent acquisition, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role Direct experience managing on-premise sampling programs (bars, restaurants, licensed venues) Understanding of brand standards and consumer engagement within the alcohol/beverage space. Experience collaborating with sales or territory managers from beverage clients on field execution. Proven experience leading large-scale staffing programs, ideally across multiple markets In-depth knowledge of Canadian labor laws and compliance practices Experience with scheduling tools, payroll systems (Ceridian preferred), and workforce management software Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to manage a high volume of deadlines and field escalations in a fast-paced environment Collaborative and solutions-focused mindset with sharp organizational skills Budget/Financial experience for effective program development, staff incentives and reconciliation. Bilingual (French/English) an asset

Pay: $67,000.00-$72,000.00 per year
