Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and assistance to individuals in a staffed residential home. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other related disabilities. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring that clients receive the support they need to maintain their independence and dignity.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the client's living space. Support individuals with disabilities in achieving their personal goals and enhancing their independence. Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition to appropriate personnel. Engage clients in activities that promote mental stimulation and physical well-being. Hiking and outdoor activities, will be required. Strong personal boundaries, with a commitment to working as a team.

Experience

Previous experience in senior care, home care, or caregiving is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Experience working with individuals with disabilities is advantageous. Knowledge of medication administration protocols is beneficial. A background in group homes or assisted living environments will be considered an asset. Pay will be determined by experience.

Pay: $21.97-$29.75 per hour
