What you will be doing:

• You, alongside another staff cook will work Monday to Friday and be provided a monthly menu and amazing quality product to produce meals for Lunch and Dinner services for approximately 375 people.
• Daily salad bar, sandwich mise en place, hot protein\xe2\x80\x99s and vegetarian options, fresh vegetables, starch, and appropriate sauces.
• Reheating daily soup options provided to you by our production team
• Kitchen maintenance and cleaning, following food safety requirements
• Maintaining and ordering stocks and supplies

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

• Creative and passionate about food and customer service
• Is a self-starter and displays initiative and curiosity for all food related matters
• Able to work in a fast paced environment
• Strong knife skills as it pertains to speed and accuracy
• Strong organizational skills and ability to priotize cooking tasks on a daily bases, based on business levels
• Strong experience in high volume cooking & banquets
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills a team player
• Valid British Columbia Food safe Certificate
• Experience in a 4 or 5 star international large hotel or restaurant or a similar standard is an asset
• Red Seal Certification is an asset
• Valid Food Safe certification required
