As the largest mental health care provider in Canada, CAMH is frequently implementing innovations and novel service delivery interventions, such as Integrated Care Pathways. The full-time, contract (12 months) Health Economist will play a critical role in the evaluation of these innovations and interventions, including cost-effectiveness analyses, with the goal of strengthening CAMH\xe2\x80\x99s position as a health performance measurement expert in the development and dissemination of cost-effective mental health service delivery with the goal of maximizing quality and efficiency. Specifically, this position will support CAMH\xe2\x80\x99s strategic plan to increase novel service delivery interventions, which have been economically evaluated.
The IMHPR is seeking an individual with a track record of or demonstrable interest in mental health economics and policy research. The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of principles of economic evaluation, advanced econometrics, and health services research methodology. They will prepare manuscripts for publications in peer-reviewed journals and will support other scientists in the submission of grant proposals to external funding agencies. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to conducting and fostering research and enthusiasm about participating in multidisciplinary research and training activities.
