We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented
Staff Pharmacist
to support the daily operations of our pharmacy and deliver high-quality care to clients receiving Opioid Agonist Therapy (OAT). In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Pharmacy Manager and our team to ensure regulatory compliance, provide clinical guidance, and contribute to a safe and supportive environment for individuals navigating addiction recovery. This position is ideal for a pharmacist who thrives in a fast-paced setting, exercises sound clinical judgment, and is passionate about addiction medicine and harm reduction.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the pharmacy team with a focus on clinical excellence and compassionate care
Ensure compliance with provincial/federal regulations and OAT-specific guidelines (e.g., methadone, buprenorphine)
Review and verify prescriptions, dispense medications, and counsel patients as needed
Collaborate with prescribers and local clinics to optimize patient outcomes
Maintain accurate and confidential records by regulatory requirement
Qualifications:
Licensed and in good standing with BC College of Pharmacists
Strong knowledge of OAT protocols and harm-reduction practices
Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with pharmacy software systems (winRx)
CPR and First Aid Certification an asset
Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision
Valid
Class 5 driver's license
and access to a reliable vehicle an asset
