North Central Co-op is hiring a Staff Pharmacist on a part time, permanent basis, located at our brand-new Riverside Co-op Food Store and Pharmacy in St. Albert, AB to open July 13, 2023.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

As a Staff Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in overseeing and dispensing medications to patients in a growing and nurturing pharmacy environment.

  • Provide clinical services such as medication management, review, and injection services.
  • Advise customers on the selection and usage of non-prescription medication.
  • Advise patients on possible side effects of their medications and answer any questions they may have.
  • Maintain medication profiles of patients and communicate with healthcare providers regarding patient care.
  • Provide supervision and direction to technicians or assistants preparing and dispensing medications.
  • Provide exceptional customer service with a positive attitude.

The Team: You will work closely with the Pharmacy Manager and fellow Staff Pharmacist. You will also have the opportunity to mentor and support future pharmaceutical hires. This team strives to cultivate a culture of collaboration, communication, and growth.

The Community: Located just 30 minutes Northwest of Edmonton, St. Albert is a thriving community focused on family and recreational activities. St. Albert has a large sports community, supporting hockey, dance, soccer, football, and cross-country skiing to name a few. Who you are:
  • You have a Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree and are in good standing with the ACP.
  • You are licensed to practice in the Province of Alberta with Injection Certification.
  • You are honest, trustworthy, results oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do.
  • You believe in collaboration, building relationships, and value the perspectives of others.

Our pharmacy working hours are from 9:00am to 9:00pm Monday to Friday, and 9:00am to 5:00pm on weekends and statutory holidays. Weekend shifts are rotated, and weekday shifts are flexible which is conducive to an excellent work/life balance.
