We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Staff Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. Duties
Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently in accordance with physician orders and legal guidelines
Provide expert consultation to healthcare providers regarding medication selection, dosage, interactions, and side effects
Educate patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and adherence strategies to promote optimal health outcomes
Monitor patient responses to prescribed therapies, making adjustments or recommendations as necessary
Maintain comprehensive documentation of medication dispensation and patient interactions in compliance with hospital policies
Oversee pharmacy inventory management, including ordering, storage, and controlled substance accountability
Collaborate with medical staff on patient care plans, especially in specialized areas such as pediatrics and acute care settings
Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and safety protocols related to medication handling and patient safety
Requirements
Valid pharmacist license in the state of practice
Prior experience working in hospital or acute care settings preferred; experience in pediatrics is a plus
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration procedures, and clinical pharmacy practices
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
Ability to interpret prescriptions accurately and provide appropriate clinical advice
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to all legal and ethical standards in pharmacy practice
Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate dispensing and documentation
