Pharmasave is currently seeking a knowledgeable and customer-oriented pharmacist to join our team in Prince Rupert. As a pharmacist at Pharmasave, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our valued patients. We are looking for a candidate who is committed to providing exceptional pharmaceutical care, possesses excellent communication skills, and demonstrates attention to detail in all aspects of their work.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Dispense medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring the correct medication, dosage, and instructions are provided to patients.
2. Review prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions or contraindications.
3. Provide medication counseling to patients, including information about dosage, administration, side effects, and potential interactions with other medications or dietary supplements.
4. Manage inventory levels, order medications and supplies, and ensure proper storage and labeling of pharmaceutical products.
5. Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient inquiries, resolving medication-related concerns, and fostering a positive and welcoming environment in the pharmacy.
Qualifications:
1. Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution and a valid BC pharmacist license.
2. Familiarity with pharmacy software systems (Kroll or WinRx) and proficiency in using technology for medication management and documentation.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively counsel patients and collaborate with healthcare providers.
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize workload to meet patient needs.
5. Dedication to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
