We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Staff Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide expert medication management, patient care, and support to healthcare providers within a hospital or clinical setting. Duties
Dispense prescription medications accurately according to physicians' orders
Provide medication counseling and education to patients and their families
Review prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans
Monitor patient responses to medications and adjust therapy as needed
Maintain detailed documentation of medication dispensing and patient interactions
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, legal regulations, and safety standards
Assist in inventory management, including ordering, storage, and stock control of pharmaceuticals
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings focused on patient care improvement
Support medication administration processes within the hospital or clinical environment
Experience
Valid pharmacist license with current registration in the state of practice
Hospital experience preferred, especially in acute care or pediatrics settings
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and pharmaceutical protocols
Proven experience in patient care, demonstrating excellent communication skills and compassion
Familiarity with hospital pharmacy systems and electronic health records (EHR) is advantageous
Prior experience working with pediatric populations or in an acute care environment is highly desirable
