This is a full-time position based in our downtown Toronto office.
In-office work will be required at least 2 days per week, with some variation based on project needs.
Work hours are flexible, but meetings are typically scheduled between 9 am and 6 pm Eastern Standard Time.

In this role, we\'ll expect you to:
Collaborate closely with simulation engineers, providing necessary input conditions for FEA and other simulations, and interpreting results to guide and optimize medical device design.
Utilize SolidWorks to design and refine medical devices, ensuring compatibility with high-volume manufacturing processes like injection molding and stamping, while meeting functional and manufacturability requirements.
Engage actively with hardware engineers and physicists, incorporating their feedback and understanding design trade-offs to develop efficient and effective medical device solutions.
Generate comprehensive technical drawings and specifications for medical device components and assemblies, ensuring adherence to industry standards and suitability for specific application requirements.
Document design processes and decisions, maintaining records of analysis and testing outcomes.
Communicate progress and technical challenges to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You might be right for this role if you have:
Advanced knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Proficiency in using Solidworks to create complex designs and assemblies tailored for high-volume manufacturing processes.
Strong skills in metrology, including the ability to accurately measure and validate parts to ensure they meet stringent design specifications and quality standards.
Experience in effective vendor collaboration; communicating design requirements, overseeing manufacturing processes, and ensuring quality compliance.
Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
Ability to effectively interpret and communicate complex data and results to colleagues with varying levels of technical understanding.
Ability to prioritize and make progress on multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining focus on project goals in an iterative work environment.
