About this opportunity:
Cenovus is currently looking for Staff, Integrated Maintenance and Production Outage Planning Engineer to join our Calgary team!
The role of the Staff, Integrated Maintenance and Production Outage Planning Engineer is responsible for the iSTO \xe2\x80\x93 integrated Shutdown, Turnaround and Outage Long Range Planning, developing, and managing the high-level 5-year plans, schedule, and budgets for all Turnarounds and Major Maintenance events (~$100MM over 5 years).
This role is primarily focused on the Oil Sands assets, with frequent support and collaboration with other assets as required. The role requires an exceptional ability to be nimble in a fast-paced and demanding environment. An ability to self-prioritize a multitude of responsibilities while balancing short-term core responsibilities with long-term strategic initiatives will be critical to being successful in this role.
This position will be based in with Calgary, Alberta. The role would require some travel to the field sites, during major events or annual budget reviews.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for the development, optimization, and management of:
5-year integrated Turnaround and Major Maintenance long range plans/schedule
Develop preliminary scope framework for Turnaround and Major Maintenance events
Maintenance budget and OPEX reduction initiatives
Interfacing with site Operations, Maintenance, Integrity, Production, Process, Reservoir
Develop a consolidated outage schedule for more reliable Marketing volume forecasting
Optimize outage plans for production loss mitigation, execution efficiencies and spend reduction
Management of iSTO Change Requests to authorize approved changes to the schedule/budget
Frequent site leadership review presentations and meetings
Monthly presentations with Process, Production, Reservoir and Development Engineering
Qualifications:
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Engineering from a recognized institution
Licensed Professional, registered and in good standing, with APEGA
A minimum of 10+ years of Engineering experience in the Oil & Gas Industry is preferred
Consideration will be given to keen individuals with less than 10 years of experience but have a reputation of showing aptitude to learn quickly, balance their priorities and being a creative problem solver
Experience/exposure with MOC\xe2\x80\x99s, Facility Engineering and Major Projects would be considered an asset
Tangible experience in data manipulation, analytics and visualization would be considered an asset
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment where priorities change frequently
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Excellent interpersonal, organization, collaboration skills
An effective change manager capable of assessing the need and effectively influencing change
Ability to facilitate and manage meetings with diverse opinions
Collaborative, passionate, versatile and have a diverse and strong technical background with a desire to understand why things are the way they are
