Your impact:
As a Staff Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in building and operating reliable, analytics-ready data systems that power decision-making across the organization. You'll own key data pipelines end-to-end, partner closely with analytics stakeholders, and help evolve our data platform to be more scalable, trustworthy, and easier to work with.
This is a hands-on role for someone who cares deeply about production data quality, is comfortable making decisions in ambiguous environments, and is motivated by building systems that other teams depend on every day.

A day in the life:
Own and operate production data pipelines, with a strong focus on reliability, correctness, and long-term maintainability
Design and build Python-based data ingestion pipelines, including custom API integrations
Orchestrate and operate batch ELT workflows using Airflow, with attention to re-runs, backfills, and failure handling
Develop analytics-ready data models that support reporting, dashboards, and downstream analysis
Partner closely with data analysts and other stakeholders to understand data needs and improve usability and clarity
Help evolve our data warehouse toward more incremental, efficient, and scalable loading patterns
Investigate and resolve data issues in production, prioritizing correctness over shipping new features
Make thoughtful tradeoffs in ambiguous situations and move work forward with a bias toward action
Improve data quality through validation, testing, and monitoring
Share knowledge, review code, and help raise the bar for data engineering best practices across the team
Your expertise:
7+ years of experience in data engineering or closely related roles
Strong experience building and maintaining production data pipelines using Python
Hands-on experience integrating data from external APIs
Experience operating batch ELT pipelines and working with data warehouses
Advanced SQL skills and experience modeling data for analytics and reporting use cases
Experience working with orchestration tools such as Airflow
Familiarity with dbt or similar transformation tools, and comfort working closely with analytics teams
Demonstrated ownership of production systems, including monitoring, debugging, and incident response
Comfort working in ambiguous environments and making pragmatic technical decisions
Experience working in a cloud environment such as GCP (or equivalent)
Familiarity with CI/CD practices and source control (e.g., GitHub)
Experience working in collaborative, iterative development environments
Additional preferred experience:
+ Designing or migrating pipelines toward incremental loading patterns
+ Working with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform)
+ Experience with data quality tooling, testing, or observability
+ Exposure to BI tools or supporting analytics workflows
+ Experience learning and adopting new tools or technologies quickly
