What is the opportunity?





Join RBC's new AI Accelerator team at RBC Clear, one of North America's largest banks. As a Staff Engineer - AI, you'll build cutting-edge AI components for our Analytics platform and Data and Insights platform, collaborating with teams across the organization to enable AI capabilities in a wide range of applications and services

What will you do?



Design and develop AI/ML components for integration into RBC's Analytics platform and Data and Insights platform Build AI agents and create agentic workflows for analytics platforms Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify AI opportunities and implement solutions Build reusable AI frameworks and tools that accelerate development across the organization Lead technical discussions and provide guidance on AI architecture and best practices Work with product teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable AI solutions

What do you need to succeed?



Must have



Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field 4+ years in AI/ML development with hands-on experience in production systems Strong programming skills in Python, experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), cloud platforms Experience with prompt engineering, building Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, and practical implementation of Gen AI in financial applications Understanding of AI applications in banking and financial services, including compliance and risk considerations Hands-on attitude and practical problem-solving approach - we value experience over certifications Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and communicate technical concepts clearly

Nice-to-have

:

Experience with MLOps and model deployment pipelines Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks in financial services Contributions to open-source AI/ML projects Experience with containerization and microservices architecture Developer education experience with technical talks and presentations
