We have an opening for a Staff Accountant - CPA Articling Student. This is an excellent opportunity to join a great team in a growing, progressive firm. Responsibilities and Expectations: \xc2\xb7 Preparation of working paper files and financial statements for compilation and assurance engagements including applicable tax returns and other required compliance. \xc2\xb7 Preparation of personal & corporate tax returns, trust returns, and charity information returns. \xc2\xb7 Preparation of HST / GST / PST / WCB returns and other compliance filings. \xc2\xb7 Interaction with clients in a professional manner. \xc2\xb7 Ensuring work is completed accurately and on a timely basis. About you: \xc2\xb7 Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skill (strong command of English is a must \xc2\xb7 Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a focus on solutions. \xc2\xb7 Exceptional time-management skills and ability to multi-task. \xc2\xb7 Experience in public practice is required. \xc2\xb7 Working knowledge of CaseWare, CaseView, QuickBooks, Simply Accounting, Taxprep, and the Office 2010 together with other commonly used applications in an accounting environment is an asset.
