Job Description

We are seeking an Audit Associate (Contract - On Demand) to support audit engagements on an as-needed basis, as our workload is forecasted to increase and files may come in periodically.

Role Summary

The Audit Associate will provide on-demand support for audit engagements, assisting with audit planning, fieldwork, and documentation in accordance with applicable auditing standards and firm methodologies. Engagement timing and hours will vary based on file intake.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in audit engagements as files become available Perform audit testing on financial statement balances and transactions Prepare and organize audit working papers and supporting documentation Communicate with clients to obtain audit evidence and clarifications Identify and document audit issues and findings Support audit partner as required Ensure compliance with applicable accounting and auditing standards
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Progress toward CPA designation is an asset or have a cpa is an asset Prior audit or public accounting experience preferred Strong understanding of accounting principles and audit procedures Proficient in Microsoft Excel and audit/accounting software Ability to work independently and meet deadlines on short notice
Preferred (Assets)

Experience with ASPE and/or IFRS Experience with CaseWare, QuickBooks, or similar software
Compensation: Hourly, contract-based, commensurate with experience.
