With Burrowing Owl Vineyards (1993) and Estate Winery (1997) The Sonora Room restaurant, Guest House and Wild Goose Winery in OK Falls, the Wyse family has a vision to produce ultra-premium BC-VQA wines and offer exceptional hospitality experiences, that represent the best characteristics of the region. The winery and production facilities are all located no more than 10km from the town of Oliver.

Position Overview

The Staff Accounting position is a Senior role working under the guidance of the Supervising Accountant and a small team in a growing company. You will have direct communication with the President and be encouraged to look for opportunities to contribute. With our continued growth, there is room to advance in the company with an ever increasing range of responsibilities.

What You'll Do:



Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and journal postings

Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting

Support financial planning, and forecasting processes for planning and lender requirements.

Prepare internal reports, cash flow and budgets, to support decision-making, lending requirements, and company growth and decision making

Work closely with management and other departments, providing financial insights in a clear, approachable way

Support audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies

Help identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting practices

Supervise technology requirements and supporting updates or transition as deemed necessary.

Program Support



Research and apply for a range of Government Agriculture Support opportunities.

Manager temporary worker applications.

Supervise CRA related tax and other cost benefit support opportunities.

What We're Looking For:



Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

1-3 years of accounting experience preferred.

Proficiency with accounting software and strong Excel skills

Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities

A team player with excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
