We are seeking an enthusiastic intermediate or senior accountant to join our firm in the role of

Staff Accountant

. For clarity, this would be someone with experience in a public practice accounting firm who has not obtained their CPA designation. This would be an ideal fit for someone seeking a fun and collaborative work environment while maintaining work-life balance. Job Responsibilities



Preparation and review of personal income tax returns, corporation income tax returns, and Estate & Trust returns

Preparation and review of financial statements (compilation engagements only, no audit or review engagements)

Tax and estate planning

Full cycle accounting, data entry, and account reconciliations

GST, PST, and WorkSafeBC return reconciliation and preparation

T4 & T5 reconciliation and preparation

Client interaction

Other tax and accounting projects as assigned

Skills and Experience Required



Minimum of 2 years' public practice experience

Experience with CaseWare, Jazzit, TaxCycle, QuickBooks, Sage, and CCH iFirm an asset

Strong computer skills and comfortability with paperless filing systems

Excellent organizational skills, and written and oral communication skills

BBA undergraduate degree with a concentration in accounting or equivalent education and experience

This position is available in a full or part-time capacity (30 - 37.5 hours per week). During our busy season (March & April), additional hours may be required. During July and August, regular hours will be 30.0 per week, Monday to Thursday.
