The Opportunity We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accounting to join our Account team. The ideal candidate will have extensive accounting experience and the ability to work autonomously in a remote environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to expand and grow their responsibility within a diverse business setting.
Responsibilities
  • Full cycle accounting, including day-to-day bookkeeping and period-end closing processes
  • Financial reporting and analysis, including being able to visualize critical information into charts and tables
  • Maintaining and regulating documentations and sensitive information
  • Project Management
  • Liaise between different departments
  • Assistance with financial reporting and budgeting
  • Establishing and enforcing financial processes, procedures, and controls
  • Other tasks and projects as assigned by Management

Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive Canadian accounting experience
  • Startup and proactive mentality! Committed to continuous improvement and a positive approach to learning from challenges!
  • Post-secondary degree or designation in accounting, or related field
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis, reporting and modeling
  • Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organization and project management skills.
  • Able to multitask and work autonomously
  • Intermediate knowledge and proficiency in spreadsheets
  • Familiarity with using Mac and G-suite
  • Proficiency in SaaS tools and accounting systems such as Xero
