Job Summary

Learning Jungle is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing Finance team. The successful candidate will assist with daily accounting operations, month-end closings, and financial reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance across all company entities. This role is ideal for an early-career accounting professional looking to gain hands-on experience within a dynamic and mission-driven organization.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Support the month-end close process by preparing journal entries and reconciliations within required timelines. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts in an organized and accurate manner. Perform bank and intercompany reconciliations. Assist with variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance. Prepare and remit employer and tax obligations as required. Support annual audit and budgeting processes. Assist with annual filings and other regulatory submissions. Collaborate and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience & Skills:

At least 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience. Strong understanding of accounting principles and full-cycle accounting processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Experience with Sage Intacct (preferable) or similar accounting software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines. Ability to work independently in a hybrid/remote environment.

Working Conditions

Hybrid work environment with occasional in-person meetings at the office. Standard business hours with flexibility during peak reporting periods. Ability to perform duties in a primarily sedentary role for extended periods.
