The Opportunity:

As a Stacker Technician you will be responsible for the continuous operation of all downstream equipment associated with newspaper and related printed material. Follow processes and procedures to ensure consistent quality conforming to customer specifications, including pre-production testing, preventative maintenance and equipment adjustments.

What you'll do:

Set up Stackers and strappers to properly receive newspaper and packaging bundles. Maintain quality control for bundle integrity, including proper publication, inserts, and bundle counts delivered. Manual correct bundles as required. Maintain accurate records. Cross-reference to ensure products are staged properly. Communicate delivery problems such as, shortages/overages, damaged product, etc. Maintain a safe work environment, complying with the company's Health and Safety program.

Who you are:

Prior mailroom or machine operation experience Prior operation of Stacker and Strapper experience Detail-oriented with good organizational and communications skills; must be able to write and speak English; must be a team player Must be reliable, with a proven ability to work in a deadline driven work environment Possess strong mechanical ability, with a strong focus on safety and quality control processes Lifting, up to 50 lbs; repetitive Licensed on low-lift equipment an asset Knowledge of Windows operating systems

The successful candidate must be able to work shifts in a 24 hour / 7 day a week environment.
