Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Stable Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong work ethic. This role involves maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the stables, caring for horses, and assisting with various farm operations. The Stable Worker will play a crucial role in ensuring that the animals are healthy and that the facilities are well-maintained.

Duties

Clean and maintain stables, including mucking out stalls and ensuring proper bedding for horses. Feed and water horses according to established schedules and dietary requirements. Groom horses, including brushing, hoof care, and checking for injuries or health issues. Assist with the handling of horses during grooming, saddling, and other activities as needed. Operate farm machinery safely for tasks such as moving hay or cleaning equipment. Perform regular maintenance on equipment and machinery to ensure optimal functionality. Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to feed bags, hay bales, and other supplies. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.

Requirements

Previous experience working with horses or in a stable environment is preferred. Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for operating and maintaining farm machinery. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required by the job duties. Strong attention to detail and commitment to animal welfare. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends if necessary.
