Reporting to the Store Manager, the Visual Associate is responsible for the execution and maintenance of the corporate visual directives and aesthetics for SSENSE Montreal. The candidate will execute the daily accuracy, speed and efficiency of store flips and inventory processes through density control and sell through monitoring, to enhance and to maximise the customer experience before, during and after each point of contact. The candidate will ensure flawless execution through quickly identifying, communicating and addressing issues to deliver best in class customer experience. The candidate will foster a positive work environment that embraces SSENSE brand values and achieves key company objectives.

Responsibilities

Customer Visual Experience - 50%

  • Execute and maintain the POV and storytelling based on the customer profile, seasonality, weather and special events at play. Consider the product forms such as vendor, theme, fabric, style, colour, prices, department and category.
  • Execute the visual merchandising requirements and brand activations based on calendar cadence
  • Participate in the installation and ongoing maintenance of visual presentations.
  • Maintain the store density and selling square feet based on optimum units in store per category front and back of house
  • Assist in tracking and providing feedback, insight, and strategies to improve overall performance and profitability through walk-in sales.
  • Support elevating the walk-in customer journey through productivity, presentations, and inventory control to ensure an outstanding customer experience
  • Act as a positive brand ambassador; develop and continuously elevate your quality point-of-view through research, product knowledge and adaptable styling.
Operations - 40%
  • Track and achieve visual merchandising inventory flow KPIs using the metric dashboard and trackers.
  • Support maximising walk-in sales contributions, sales per selling square foot, and Inventory control accuracy.
  • Ensure to address daily sell through to replenish, identify needs, communicate and ensure highest standards of visual presentation to drive growth through product assortment and presentation
  • Participate with inbound and outbound inventory processes
  • Maintain a high standard of back of house and offsite storage organisation.
  • Assist when necessary with appointment model operational activities, taking ownership to meet the promise to customers.
  • Support loss prevention in all areas of risk management, physical security, inventory control and transaction accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance of store operations, health and safety, maintenance and company policies.
Team leadership - 10%
  • Participate in building and developing best-in-class, client-centric teams
  • Drive collaboration between the Visual Associates, selling roles and support roles.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in luxury visual presentation, styling, hospitality or customer service
  • College or University degree in Fashion, Design, Management, or a related field is preferred
  • Proven experience establishing trusting relationships and working cross-functionally
  • Good knowledge of the brands carried by SSENSE including cultural positioning/legacy, creative direction, brand relevance
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes (15kg)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Web and computer-savviness
  • Hours/days of work can be varied due to the demands of the business
