In this role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll collaborate with dozens of clients on writing their SR&ED technical reports. You\xe2\x80\x99ll get to know each client and find ways to proactively help them throughout the year to build up their SR&ED activity and traceability. You\xe2\x80\x99ll be part of a team of experienced specialists, in a premier firm that\xe2\x80\x99s had a 17 year successful track record helping clients grow. You will report to the Director of Technical Services.

Responsibilities

• Elicitation of information from clients to Identify eligible R&D activities (even if they didn\xe2\x80\x99t know it was \xe2\x80\x9cSREDable\xe2\x80\x9d)
• Collect, organize and write detailed technical documents from information provided by clients (onsite and remotely)
• Develop and craft technical, narrative and financial components of SR&ED claims & other grants
• Provide support in the case of claim reviews and audits
• Conduct regular touchpoints with clients throughout the year on their SR&ED activity and provide valuable advice and feedback to maximize their claims

Location: Hybrid - In office and remote, with offices located in Toronto and Montreal

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you need a strong background in technical writing and take pride in the quality of the work you produce. You must have a strong empathy for clients in order to establish credibility, and deliver a high level of service of value to make their experience unforgettably painless.

• 1+ years prior training and experience as a SR&ED Consultant, preferably in IT sector.
• Skilled in elicitation and interview techniques.
• Experience in preparing and defending CRA audits.
• Above average multi-tasking, and time management skills in a high-volume, fast paced environment
• Excellent client-facing spoken and written communication skills

• Bilingual (French/English)
• Grant writing expertise

Interview Process

• 30-minute video conference to assess fit
• 1-hour interview to demonstrate your technical skills (in person in Toronto or Montreal if possible)
• 1-hour in person to meet with other team member(s) for cultural fit
• 30-minute debriefing call with hiring manager

• $75,000 - $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience
