The Opportunity

We are #hiring a Sr. Surface Land Coordinator for our Calgary head office. Reporting to the Team Lead Surface Land, you will be responsible for area coordination with external brokers for all Freehold and Crown acquisitions of surface leases, easements / pipelines, and facilities as it relates to the asset team needs. You will join a team that values its people and provides work with purpose.
What you will do
Area coordination with external brokers for all Freehold and Crown acquisitions of surface leases, easements / pipelines, and facilities
Receive, audit, and clear land acquisition packages; including the completion of third party documentation and request road use cheques where required
Input, update, and maintain surface acquisitions in CS Explorer
Attend asset team meetings, scout and survey meeting attendance, and maintain internal tracking sheets for capital programs
Coordinate internally or with broker agents on rental reviews, tribunal notices and / or freehold challenges that arise
Request cheques and code / approve invoices
What you will bring
A diploma or certification in a land program, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
10 years of experience in surface land administration within the oil and gas industry, with both land broker and in house experience; Alberta and BC exposure would be considered an asset
Proficiency with CS Explorer and related processes
Experience with one or more of the following softwares would be considered an asset: Pandell (road use and 3rd party management), Abadata, SAP, Open Invoice, and Optix
Experience with and / or interest in Indigenous relations would be preferred
