Competitive Salary: CA$135,000 - CA$150,000+, commensurate with experience, specialization, and leadership capabilities.
This is an in-office position that offers flexible start times, and work-from-home days available upon request and approval. Free on-site parking available, at centrally located head office location in Burnaby.
Role Overview
As a
Senior Structural Engineer (P.Eng)
at Enginuity Consulting Ltd., you will lead and execute structural engineering projects across a range of industrial equipment and building applications. Acting as Engineer of Record on key initiatives, you will apply technical knowledge to guide structural design from concept through to completion on mix of brownfield and greenfield projects. Your role will also involve collaboration and co-ordination with other structural, multi-disciplinary engineering, and Project Management teams. You will guide designers helping to elevate our structural engineering practice while delivering outstanding results for clients.
Key Responsibilities
Lead structural designs for industrial facilities, equipment supports, buildings, foundations, slabs
Act as Professional of Record (POR) for projects and review all technical submissions for accuracy and compliance.
Conduct structural condition assessments of 'existing' installations, with evaluation and rehabilitation options and designs
Seismic analysis and retrofit designs for new and existing structures.
Mentor and technical oversight of junior engineers, technologists, and draftors
Oversee document review, drawing certification, and engineering field reviews per EGBC Quality Management Guidelines
Coordinate project tasks to ensure scope, schedule, and quality standards are met.
Interface with multidisciplinary teams and clients to align project objectives and technical deliverables.
Maintain detailed documentation including calculations, reports, RFIs, and assurance letters.
What We Need from You
A degree in Structural or Civil Engineering and registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in British Columbia for minimum of 2 years.
Minimum 15 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably within consulting engineering, EPCM, or EPC environments serving industrial sectors.
Expertise in design of Steel and concrete, with variety of loading conditions
Experience in Condition assessment and rehabilitation
Knowledge with EGBC Quality Management and practice guidelines
Proficiency in structural codes and standards including CSA S16, BCBC, and WorkSafeBC.
Experience with seismic design and both greenfield and brownfield projects.
Familiarity with Autodesk ROBOT a strong asset
Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide team development and uphold policy and quality standards.
Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
Eligibility to work in Canada.
