Overview

In this role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be responsible for leading in-depth strategic business analysis, conducting and summarizing research to develop and conceptualize strategic proposals, presentations, programs, and documents which will guide senior management in decision making and problem solving.

At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position.

In this role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll work primarily from your B.C. home and occasionally in our Richmond office.

What you\'ll do

  • Work closely with senior management to create and conceptualize strategic planning documents such as reports and presentations for review by senior management, Enterprise Leadership Team (ELT) and/or Board of Directors (BOD)
  • Conduct a variety of research and information gathering, interpreting data, formulating conclusions, and evaluating various sources while creating viable strategies dependent on findings
  • Create and manage framework, tools, and tracking programs to ensure strategic programs and initiatives are up-to-date and to identify, manage, and mitigate risks
  • Provide leadership and expertise in strategic business planning processes, taking a lead role on initiatives while involving appropriate business partners as required
  • Provide advice and guidance on strategic planning projects, including conducting scenario-analysis, business case feasibility analysis and impact assessments for initiatives, creating proposals, writing recommendations and analysis/assessment of project viability
  • Support and participate in the formulating of departmental plans and implementing plan initiatives
  • Work with internal management teams to develop business performance measures and key performance indicators to promote and monitor ongoing efficiency improvements
  • Provide leadership and support in evaluating the impacts of legislative, policy, and regulatory changes by developing robust measurement approaches, assessing their effectiveness, and generating reports to inform stakeholders.
Is this a good fit for you?

Your background and experience
  • A Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Business Administration or related field
  • A minimum of 3 years of related experience within management consulting, business process management, business analysis, innovation, design thinking, strategic planning, change management or project management
  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) designation, or a Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) designation is an asset
  • Proven analytical and root cause analysis capabilities and proven leadership skills
