The Sr. Specialist, IT is responsible for leading the IT services deployed to Manufacturing plants across the segment globally. This leader will be a key member of the manufacturing leadership and operations teams and will partner closely with plant managers, plant IT delivery managers and Global IT teams to drive improved value for customers and efficiency for manufacturing and play a leading role in resolving day-to-day critical issues by applying strategic planning and analysis as well as solutions assessments to enable Baxter\xe2\x80\x99s manufacturing functions.

What you\'ll be doing

Create, shared and drive adoption of the \xe2\x80\x9cart of the possible\xe2\x80\x9d in how technology can be applied

Collaborate with executives and other leaders to define the long-term IT and application roadmap

Work with related technical IT teams (Cloud, Networks & Telecom, Operations, etc.) to deliver a stable IT environment for manufacturing facilities

Partner closely with the division plant managers, shared service supply chain functions, business and IT management to understand the global and regional strategy and business objectives and participate in translating that into the strategy of manufacturing in the division

Develop and own local manufacturing IT strategies to align with driving global software standards and local improvement needs

Partner closely with the business leaders and IT leadership in setting priorities, placing realistic expectations on scope delivery and project

Responsible for the deployment and continuous improvement of portfolio and project management and accelerated continuous improvement practices aligned with transformation goals

Act as an SME and teacher to other members of the manufacturing teams and IT in support of continuous improvement, customer focus, and innovation

What you\'ll bring

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Process Management or related discipline or equivalent number of years of work experience.

Have a minimum of 10 years of technical knowledge and 5+ years of IT leadership experience

Experience working in a GxP environment particularly in the Cell Therapy, BioTech, or Pharmaceutical industries strongly preferred

Possess good communication skills to promote cross functional discussions and be able to explain potentially complex solutions to the customer

Experience working on cross functional teams to obtain project deliverables

Experience with systems investigation and root cause analysis tools

5+ years experience managing people whether as a direct supervisor and/or a technical lead of a team (employees and/or contractors) or as a project manager
