Position Title: Sr SAP Integration Specialist

Team and Location: IT - Calgary, AB

Minimum Starting Salary from: $ 99,840 /year

Position Summary:

The SAP Integration Suite Expert is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining SAP S/4HANA BTP integration solutions across multiple systems. This role will coordinate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and configure SAP integration solutions. The incumbent also has the ability to guide, mentor, and oversee the work of junior developers, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and maintain integrations between SAP S/4 HANA and other systems using SAP Integration Suite.

  • Work with Business Relationship Managers (BRM) on interfaces between Boundary (PDI, Infosys, etc) and Enterprise systems (UKG, Allegro, etc)
  • This would involve developing/updating integration technical specifications and obtaining signoff from the business upon successful testing.
Provide technical guidance and support to the integration team and stakeholders.
  • Works with the BRM and Solutions Delivery Team, especially when it comes down to tracking down errors and tracing data
Collaborate with other technical and functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of integration solutions.

Qualifications and Skills:

Technical Skills and Abilities:
  • SAP S/4 HANA Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA, its architecture, and the latest functionalities.
  • SAP BTP Integration Suite Proficiency: Strong expertise in SAP BTP Integration Suite, including tools and services like SAP Cloud Integration (CPI), SAP API Management, and SAP Event Mesh.
  • Integration Techniques and Patterns: In-depth understanding of various integration techniques and patterns, such as point-to-point, hub-and-spoke, and ESB-based integration. Knowledge of synchronous and asynchronous communication, as well as API-led and event-driven integration approaches.
  • Integration with 3rd Party Systems: Experience in integrating S/4 HANA with third-party systems, on-premise, cloud, and SaaS applications using iPaaS solutions, like SAP BTP Integration Suite.
  • API Development: Proficiency in designing, developing, and managing APIs using REST and SOAP protocols, as well as API security, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
  • Industry Standards and Protocols: Familiarity with industry-standard data formats and protocols, such as XML, JSON, EDI, OData, and IDoc, as well as knowledge of integration-specific standards like AS2, SFTP, and JMS.
  • Team Management: Ability to guide, mentor, and oversee the work of junior developers, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to best practices.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with System integrators, teammates, onshore/offshore teams, and stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex integration issues and provide innovative solutions.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the Oil & Gas industry\'s business processes and regulations
  • SAP Certifications: Relevant SAP certifications, such as those in SAP Integration or BTP, can be advantageous to showcase technical expertise.
Educational Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in SAP Integration, with at least 2 years focused on SAP Integration Suite.
  • SAP Integration Suite certification would be a plus.
