Job Description


Reporting to the Senior Director of Credit Risk, the Senior Manager, Acquisition will be a key member of the Credit Risk Management team. The Senior Manager will manage two (2) analysts and be responsible for the design and execution of acquisition risk and limit assignment strategies for the Rogers Bank credit cards portfolio. Partnering with internal and external stakeholders, this role will directly influence the development of segment and channel-specific strategies and will execute on the Bank\'s growth agenda.

What you\'ll do:

  • Provide thought leadership for the acquisition team to support the growth and evolution of Rogers Bank\'s credit card portfolio. Seek out new sources of data and new analytical capabilities, work with predictive modelling team to develop new scores.
  • Accountable for the development, execution, and monitoring of acquisition strategies in ADM
  • Report to management on credit environment and strategy performance of key decision areas.
  • Conduct deep dives into portfolio segments; stay connected with industry and economic trends.
  • Present strategy proposals to Enterprise Risk Management Committee, ensure consensus with key stakeholders.
  • Manage and mentor direct reports. Advocate for further team expansion to support bank\'s growth goals.
  • Monitor the performance of new account cohorts relative to the overall portfolio to ensure adherence to risk appetite and net loss forecast.
  • Contribute to budget forecasting process; liaise with finance to quantify impact of credit risk strategies on existing portfolio.
What you\'ll have:
  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressively responsible roles in consumer credit risk analytics preferably within a credit card lender.
  • Bachelor\'s degree in mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Finance, Economics or equivalent quantitative field;
  • Strong data analysis skills including familiarity with: SQL, SAS, Knowledge Studio, Python or R.
  • Experience with ADM strongly preferred; Provenir experience is considered an asset.
  • Sound analytical and business acumen with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office applications - Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in order to address technical and non-technical audiences effectively.
  • Self-starter, able to manage and prioritize multiple complex tasks with minimum supervision with strong attention to detail.
