Scotiabank is looking for a Manager/Sr. Manager who thrives on structure, accountability and proactive problem-solving. In this role, you will serve as the critical bridge between Technology and Risk/Audit functions, ensuring that audits, compliance reviews and risk assessments are executed on time, with accurate data and clear ownership. You will drive operational discipline across audit processes, enforce data hygiene, and stand up cross-organizational coordination for dependencies that span multiple technology towers.


This position reports to the Director, Strategy & Operations, Canadian Banking Technology and works closely with senior technology leaders, Risk, Audit and cross-functional teams to ensure transparency, timely escalation and alignment with enterprise governance standards.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

Maintain a centralized audit tracker with clear owners, due dates and proactive follow-ups to prevent overdue items. Implement real re-forecasting practices and validate timelines for audit completion. Drive enablement and cross-portfolio operations. Build governance for audits, currency update, and dependency management across technology towers. Automate and manage the RCMP data feed, ensuring accuracy and timely updates for compliance reporting. Identify and escalate audit or compliance risks early to prevent surprises and enable realistic completion estimates. Partner with technology teams to validate audit timelines and ensure forecasts reflect actual capacity and dependencies. Deliver monthly updates on audit status, overdue item, and risk themes to senior leadership. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering trust and collaboration. Support oversight of regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and risk mitigation for the VP's portfolio. Ensure adherence to corporate governance standards in all communications and decision-making processes. Champion the institution's values, fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and inclusivity. Communicate the Bank's strategic plan and strategic priorities.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

8+ years' experience in financial services, consulting, or a related field, with exposure to both strategy and operations. Undergraduate degree in business or engineering; graduate business degree Proven experience supporting senior executives in business management, or senior program leadership capacity. Understanding of Canadian banking regulations, compliance obligations and governance frameworks is a nice to have. Exceptional organizational, planning, and execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in parallel. Strong executive communication abilities, including written briefs, presentation decks and stakeholder updates. High level of discretion and political acumen; trusted to manage sensitive information. Analytical mindset, able to interpret complex data and distill actionable insights. Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, challenging and dynamic business environment. Superior interpersonal skills, leadership and influential capabilities Highly developed relationship management skills to effectively manage relationships across the Bank, partners and external vendors. Proven track record delivering innovative solutions from concept to change management. Excellent knowledge with MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
