The Senior Manager of Community Relations reports to the SVP, Corporate Citizenship and is responsible for the creation and execution of Canada Goose\xe2\x80\x99s global social impact strategy with commitment to protect the Arctic environment and communities, and while enabling and empowering our global employees to give back to our communities. This role heavily aligns with our brands purpose to keep the planet cold and the people on it warm.

As an integral part of the Corporate Citizenship team, you will lead our Community Relations programs which include but are not limited to; CG Gives employee platform, our Arctic Program Evolution and any new opportunities which will build our global investment in climate change and support of Northern communities. You will also be the primary liaison for corporate partners like Polar Bears International, Students on Ice, and others as part of our work on celebrating the Arctic and managing our sponsorship programs. This role is a 14-month contract and will commence at the end of September.

Qualifications

What You\'ll Do:

  • Lead and develop a future global team, with 1 current direct report
  • Lead overall administration and approval of Canada Goose\xe2\x80\x99s charitable contributions, sponsorships, grants, and volunteer programs.
  • Manage social impact programs across APAC, EMEA, and NA ensuring outcomes align to both regional and global goals and KPIs
  • Provide input to functional units across the company to identify, and scale opportunities in areas of social impact and climate change
  • Grow strategic alliances with NGO\xe2\x80\x99s and engage with key external groups and associations in areas of community relations
  • Work closely with Commercial, Communications and Marketing teams through storytelling in our various social, digital and PR channels that highlight campaign and education moments
  • Monitor, manage and develop portfolio of global partnerships, and oversee all relationships with non-profit organizations and institutional partners
  • Manage all applicable budgets, contracts, and suppliers
  • Support the development, launch and execution of the new global grant offering program \xe2\x80\x93 HUMANATURE Fund
  • Keep informed regarding pending industry changes, trends and best practices and assess the potential impact of these changes on organizational processes
  • Manage and oversee the CG Gives global employee platform tracking engagement and responding to regional needs across retail and corporate communities and support with local crisis responses
Let\'s Talk About You:
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in similar roles
  • Strong preference for experience in high-profile, global brands
  • College or University degree - specific experience in philanthropy, corporate citizenship or community relations an asset
  • Proven financial and business acumen
  • Must have a passion for giving back and making a positive difference to society
  • Experience collaborating with Indigenous and/or Inuit communities a strong asset
  • Comfort working with an entrepreneurial mindset in collaboration with diverse global teams in a fast paced, complex environment
  • Understanding of the global apparel industry an asset
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders at the same time and deliver to completion
  • Previous global experience managing cross-functional teams and working with remote offices
  • Proven financial and business acumen
