The Headlines:

In the role of Senior Manager Category Development Canada, you will be a key part of the National Customer Solutions Team and a strategic business partner to the National Account Sales Teams. This position reports to the Director of Channel Strategy and Customer Solutions and will work closely with the commercial centre of excellence team, shopper insights, retail sales teams, brand marketing and retail customers.

The Senior Manager of Category Development is responsible for championing and inspiring our customers through the science and principles of category management and has three channel-based analysts reporting into them. Your purpose is to create a healthy and prosperous category through the Molson Coors portfolio of brands with a specific focus on turning insights to action able solutions. You have the uncanny ability to distill complex concepts and business problems into sound recommendations and solutions that deliver results for Molson Coors and the customer. You care deeply about building high functioning teams and are passionate about developing people.

The Responsibilities:

  • Champion the National Retail Vision: Category -- Shopper -- Channel -- Planning -- Execution
  • Mid and Long Range Planning Linked to National Retail Strategy
  • CCOE Partnership, Integration and Best Practice Incorporation
  • Leading People, Training, Removing Interference
  • Steward the Annual and Monthly Planning Cycles: Retail Strategy Meeting, Commercial Readiness and Alignment, Commercial Leadership Session, Monthly Retail Director Meetings, Budget
The Other Qualifications:
  • You have some experience working in CPG databases including but not limited to: Neilsen, Dunnhumby, LDIA, Circana, Numerator, etc
  • You can leverage visual analytics platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx to analyze and solve complex problems.
  • You act with appropriate urgency to various market trends and customer needs that require a quick turnaround in insights and strategy.
  • You are a diplomatic and an empathetic leader that can coach and guide a team through business problems and competing priorities.
  • You are skilled at communication, story telling and managing stakeholders at all levels.
  • You are creative and an innovative thinker.
  • You can build and sustain strong internal/external business relationships.
  • You exhibit our core values and demonstrate our Molson Coors Success Factors.
  • You have a bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or another relevant field or minimum of 3-5 years progressive experience in leading or working within a CGP category management team.
