Job Description

Summary:

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the incumbent will lead and execute facility and

equipment maintenance activities across all company facilities and equipment.

Job Terms:

Permanent, Full Time.

Responsibilities:

Adhere to equipment maintenance schedule as per Preventive Maintenance program Perform routine facility and equipment repairs Order parts and supplies for machinery and facilities Repair or replace defective machinery parts Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions Perform urgent repairs as necessary Assist with heating and cooling systems troubleshooting Adhere to safe operating procedures during machinery shutdown and lock out procedures Assist in assembling new machinery and equipment prior to installation, and in installing, if required Adjusting machinery and equipment to proper settings Operate forklift, overhead crane, elevated platform, hand tools, read and interpret blueprints May require rigging, handling, centering, work at elevation; bearing, etc. Train and mentor junior staff and apprentices

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in the manufacturing maintenance setting 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwright Journeyman certification is a strong asset Knowledge of electrical and electronic controls, lathes/mills and other machining tools, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, HVAC Working at heights /Elevated platform certification is an asset Willingness and ability to learn required machinery is a must Ability to work multi-task, work under pressure, prioritize and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met * Must possess a valid driving license
