Job Description

As a Projects HSE Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental compliance of our operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective HSE programs and initiatives. Your expertise in risk assessment, incident investigation, and regulatory compliance will contribute to creating a safe and sustainable work environment.




You will report directly to our Sr. HSE Engineer, and you'll work out of our site in Orillia, ON on a hybrid work schedule. Extensive travel may be necessary as the project will take place throughout the province of Ontario.





In this role, you will impact the organization by:



Developing and implementing HSE policies and procedures Conducting risk assessments and identifying potential hazards Leading incident investigations and implementing corrective actions Ensuring compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations, as well as customer requirements Acting as liaison between the customer and Honeywell Providing appropriate reports to the customer Delivering HSE training and awareness programs to employees Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in HSE performance

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

YOU MUST HAVE



Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field

or

5+ years of equivalent work experience 5+ years of experience in an HSE role in utility or construction Ability to travel up to 50% of the time within Canada and possibly the US


WE VALUE





Professional certification in HSE (e.g., CSP, CIH) Knowledge of local, provincial, and federal HSE regulations and standards Experience in field work environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team
