Loblaw Companies Ltd. is seeking a

dynamic and detail-oriented Senior HR Coordinator

to play a pivotal role in supporting our National Asset Protection (AP) client group and contributing to the strategic HR Planning function. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and upbeat professional who excels in fast-paced environments, expertly navigating diverse priorities and evolving demands. This role will report to the Senior HR Business Partner for HR4HR & AP.

What You'll Do



Drive the seamless end-to-end execution and adoption of critical HR programs and initiatives for the National Asset Protection team, spanning the entire employee lifecycle - from onboarding to offboarding (e.g., year-end processes, culture programs, employee engagement surveys, Workday transactions). Ensure the effective roll-out of company-wide HR programs, tailoring support to meet the specific needs of the AP client group. Serve as a trusted HR advisor to leaders and colleagues within the AP client group, providing guidance and solutions across a comprehensive range of HR matters. This includes company policies and procedures, recruitment and selection strategies, performance management, terminations, training and development, and benefits administration. Proactively address and facilitate the resolution of sensitive employee relations issues and inquiries, conducting thorough research and investigations to ensure fair, compliant, and supportive outcomes. Collaborate closely with the Compensation team to compile critical data and manage the administration of annual incentive and merit review processes, supporting informed compensation recommendations for the client group. Champion HR compliance by ensuring adherence to work authorizations and SIN regulations. This includes facilitating immigration processes (e.g., Provincial Nomination Program requests) in close partnership with our Legal team. Maintain the accuracy and integrity of workforce data, proactively reviewing and updating headcount reports and organizational charts to support effective workforce planning. Efficiently and accurately resolve payroll, absence, and other operational HR inquiries. Actively drive continuous improvement initiatives and leverage best practices to enhance HR services, tools, and processes, influencing human resources strategies across the organization. Lead the coordination and enhancement of various HR communication networks, including co-ownership of the HR Connects SharePoint site, the Stronger Together Viva Engage Page, HR Calendar, and HR huddles, to foster clear, consistent, and engaging internal communication.

What You'll Need:



Post-secondary education preferably in Human Resources and obtained (or working towards) HR Management Certification. 1 - 3 years progressive HR experience, coordinating departmental programs and initiatives is a definite asset. Bilingual in English/French is an asset Solid computer skills required in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook). Exceptional interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization. Strong integrity with ability to maintain confidentiality and manage highly sensitive information. Customer focused, team player and able to nurture positive relationships. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks with a high degree of attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency. Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems. Strong collaboration, process and project management skills. Ability to work with limited direction, extremely proactive, highly driven and self-directed. Travel is required from time to time
