The Senior Designer will work collaboratively as part of the design team providing leadership and supervision in the building and development of client-driven design approaches and solutions. This individual will use extensive knowledge of specialized design concepts, media, and software tools to develop innovative and comprehensive concepts and layouts building brand identities and developing messaging and imaging. The Senior Designer will be directly responsible for assisting in the translation of the client\'s vision into a tangible design approach. This individual should be innovative, creative and a team player who is able to lead by example in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Job Duties:
  • Liaise with clients in order to develop design approaches that exceed expectations
  • Conceive creative concepts in response to client needs, translating such concepts into visual formats
  • Work collaboratively with various departments and team members such as art directors, interactive designers, developers and copywriters in order to ensure concept is thoroughly comprehended and communicated and the design concept fully incorporates the requirements of the client
  • Provide direct assistance in the building of brand identities and the development of messaging and imaging
  • Undertake market research as required
  • Assist in the planning of production schedules and workflow for the entire design process.
  • Provide technical and creative guidance as required
  • Assist in the development and mentoring of junior designers
  • Identify and offer solutions to complex design challenges as they present themselves.
  • Develop and deliver design solution presentations that effectively communicate visual concepts
  • Oversee the execution of the developed design concept to ensure final offering stays true to initial and agreed upon vision
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Education in relevant industry considered an asset

7+ years of Agency design experience required

Excellent design and conceptual skills as evidenced in personal portfolio.

Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills

Passionate self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Demonstrated innovative and creative thinker

Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced environment

Demonstrated effective deadline management and project management skills

Strong interpersonal skills required to communicate with a broad range of individuals including key members of design teams, various stakeholders and clientele

Ability to analyze and interpret user requirements

Experience in management and leadership specifically creating workflows and work schedules

Solid design and conceptual skills
