We put creativity and inclusivity at the core of our work and don\'t settle for seeing the world only as it is, but strive to build a world as it could be.Your role as a multiplayer game designer on Project Rene will be to design and implement multiplayer game modes and social features, including systems and features across simulation and creative tools in service of multiplayer experiences.You enjoy brainstorming just as much as building. You\'re inspired by the challenge of reimagining what playing together is and are invigorated by figuring out how to make it real and put it into the player\'s hands.You will be reporting to the Development Director.Locations (Hybrid): Vancouver, TorontoResponsibilitiesAdvocate and maintain the vision of the project set by the Creative Director and Game Design Directors.Design and own major multiplayer systems, mechanics, and content from concept through documentation, prototyping, and implementation.Determine experience goals for owned features and take a hands-on approach to implementing and tuning your features to meet those goals.Become an expert on Maxis\' proprietary game development tools to implement your designs, tune, and bug fix.Become an expert on the game and our target audience, drawing from data, research, and playtesting to make and defend design decisions.Partner with Development Directors to track tasks, identify risk, and clarify changes in design work.QualificationsSenior Level: At least 7 years of game design experience.Deep experience designing multiplayer gameplay.Expertise in game development tools and engines.Implemented designs in past games using scripts, blueprints, or in an editor.Experience in multiple stages of prototyping and development, from pre-production through live service.Desirable SkillsExperience in Unreal.Technical Design, scripting, modding, or engineering background.Worked on a AAA HD title in a multiplayer-focused role.Experience in LiveOps environment.Experience in Tools design.BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITSThe base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.BASE SALARY RANGES

\xc2\xba $107,600 - $147,100 CAN AnnuallyBase salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
