Job Description

There\'s an exciting contract(6 months) / temporary opportunity for an efficient, organized Senior Financial Analyst to join an innovative company. The Senior Financial Analyst consultant is in charge of OPEX reporting, expense analysis and reporting, planning, forecasting, and annual budgeting, serving as the primary point of contact for all financial issues for the facilities management team. You will also implement analysis of the operating results and financial performance of core business segments supporting public reporting requirements and also offer decision-making support for future company investments. This Senior Financial Analyst will be located in Toronto, Ontario.

- Evaluate financial results, summarize key trends, assess current and future business risks, and communicate critical updates all in the course of preparing monthly and quarterly reporting to senior leadership

- Handle ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests, assist with month end and year end

- Drive improved management reporting - work with Operations and Accounting to more discreetly and accurately track financial results

- Cultivate business performance through the use and execution of financial analysis

- Cultivate dynamic relationships with Finance/Accounting leadership of key business partners

- Collaborate with Functional leads to execute management reporting, accounting and compliance advisement, and coordinate alignment of operational initiatives

- Develop business, operational, and financial processes to be repeatable and understandable for all necessary teams

- Be able to analyze financial results, distill and synthesize key issues, communicate updates to senior management all in order to drive existing management reporting

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel

- Strong problem solving and analytical skills

- Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred

- Ability to apply critical thinking and critical decision making skills with management

- Ability to work cross functionally and influence appropriately

- Applicants need 5+ years experience in operations finance

- Command of Expense Reporting

- Budgeting experience preferred

- Deep understanding of month end closings

- OPEX experience desired

- Highly-skilled in office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommended

- Highly skilled with Microsoft PowerPoint

- Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills

- Required education: BA/BS degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
