Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis at McKesson Specialty Health, the Senior Financial Analyst is integral to delivering timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis, including managing P&L and Balance Sheets. This dynamic role supports the development of budgets and forecasts, engages in operational performance reporting, and plays a crucial part in financial month-end close activities. Additionally, the role offers a rewarding career path by being involved in various financial business initiatives. Section A - Specific Responsibilities

Other responsibilities generally associated with Sr. Financial Analyst positions are described in Section B. The duties and responsibilities of the above-mentioned position include, without being limited to, the following:
Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements and key reports for pre and post monthly close as well as budget; ensure data integrity and accuracy in all financial documents and presentations
Dive into business unit P&Ls, turning numbers into meaningful stories. Keep track of any differences from forecasts and budgets, catching overspend early and pointing out issues and their impacts
Collaborate with divisional budget and process owners to help shape annual budgets and ongoing forecasts. Bring together input from different divisions for a complete financial picture
Coordinate with head office to make sure every transaction is properly recorded in SAP system, keeping our financial records accurate and organized
Champion positive change by identifying ways to improve processes and increase efficiency across financial operations
Handle ad hoc financial reports and provide insights needed to guide strategic decision
Section B - General Responsibilities

Engage with internal and external business partners to resolve issues, build strong relationships, and enhance current processes to drive financial excellence
Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and take on additional responsibilities as needed
Offer support during internal and external audits, ensuring smooth and efficient reviews.
Inspire and guide business partners to achieve outstanding business results
Create personalized development plans to address and close any competency gaps
Section C - Position Requirements

Bachelor degree of Commerce with a major in Finance or Accounting. Must have a CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA designation
Three (3) to five (5) years' experience in a financial planning & analysis role, with extensive knowledge of SAP or other major ERP
Proficiency with budgeting and forecasting methods and tools
Advanced skills in Excel and proficiency with the MS Office suite, including Word and PowerPoint.
Expertise in Microsoft Power BI is strongly considered an asset
Outstanding problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Keen attention to detail and a disciplined approach to maintaining process integrity
Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Demonstrated effectiveness in a team-based, collaborative setting
A determined, flexible, and positive attitude towards work challenges
Demonstrates ownership and accountability for responsibilities with a confident and independent mindset
