Job Description

A rapidly-growing Textile Manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join their team on a long-term contract / temporary project basis. The Senior Financial Analyst consultant will be the primary point of contact for all financial issues, including project spending, planning, forecasting and annual budgeting. Following public reporting requirements, you will provide decision-making support for future company investments after performing analysis on the operating results and financial performance of core business segments. This Senior Financial Analyst position is located in Listowel, Ontario.

Key responsibilities

- Execute monthly and quarterly reporting to senior management by analyzing financial results, synthesizing/distilling key trends, assessing future and current business risks, and articulating critical updates

- Coordinate with Functional leads to draft management reporting, accounting and compliance advisement, and guarantee alignment of operational initiatives

- Drive existing management reporting - analyze financial results, distill and synthesize issues, communicate key messages to senior management

- Build positive relationships with key business partners and Finance/Accounting leadership

- Collaborate with Operations and Accounting to drive improved management reporting by tracking financial results more discreetly and accurately

- Identify and execute financial analysis to optimize business performance

- Execute assistance in all ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests

- Make business, operational, and financial processes to be shared, understood, and repeated by relevant teams
- Track-record in process reengineering and optimization

- High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel

- Excellent communication and organizational skills

- Strong problem solving and analytical skills

- CPA or MBA preferred

- Able to think critically and operate effectively with management

- Proven knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint

- Bank reconciliations experience

- Comprehensive knowledge of Excel Formulas

- Proficiency in Annual Financial Reporting

- Expertise in Microsoft Excel

- Required education: BA/BS degree in Finance, Business, or a related field

- A strong ability to work with office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommended

- Ability to work effectively and cross-functionally, think practically and be solution-oriented

- 5+ years experience in operations finance necessary
