The Legal Entity Reporting Team has an opportunity for a highly motivated and dynamic individual to fill the role of Contract Senior Financial Analyst. Reporting to the Manager, Legal Entity Reporting, this role is responsible for assisting with the preparation of a wide variety of domestic and international legal entity financial statements in compliance with IFRS that reflect the geographical diversity of our business.
The successful candidate will be a team player who strives for excellence in reporting accuracy and demonstrates strong leadership skills while working within a team environment. This position will appeal to individuals who are highly motivated and enjoy a dynamic and fast paced environment.
Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the compilation and accurate preparation of various Canadian and US legal entity financials statements and note disclosures in accordance with IFRS for compliance and governance purposes.
  • Work closely with Business Units and the Tax team to support the preparation of the legal entity financial statements.
  • Support legal entity statement review and audit engagements with Cenovus\xe2\x80\x99s external auditors, as required.
  • Implement efficiencies and look for ways to improve processes, including the migration of legal entity financial statements to Workiva.
  • Work closely with Accounting Research to resolve any reporting and disclosure matters on a timely basis, including changes to IFRS.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of tax step memos, as required.
  • Other reporting duties and projects, as required.
