Robert half is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join a reputable and well-respected organization in Ottawa, Ontario.

This is a permanent, hybrid (remote - primary) role.

Responsibilities:
- Cross-Functional Collaboration - Collaborate with various departments to gather information, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate financial reporting
- SOX Compliance
- Research and assess the impact of emerging accounting standards and regulatory changes, and provide guidance on their adoption
- Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance the external reporting process
- Prepare and review financial statements
- Gain a comprehensive grasp of the REIT\'s strategic trajectory and offer valuable perspectives on how to seamlessly incorporate that strategy into daily operational activities.
- Examine performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities
- Act as a liaison with external auditors during the annual audit process

Qualifications:
- CPA Professional Designation
- 5+ years of related work experience
- Proficiency in accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS), SEC regulations, and SOX compliance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
- Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools (e.g., ERP systems, XBRL tagging)
- Ability to collaborate seamlessly within a team and swiftly adjusting to dynamic surroundings
