to join our Financial Reporting team. This role is responsible for supporting the monthly and quarterly financial statements, preparing variance analyses, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end accruals, and the month-end close process. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with ASPE.
Support the annual audit process.
Prepare accurate, complete, and timely month-end financial reporting packages.
Prepare journal entries, month-end accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Perform monthly budget-to-actual variance analysis and investigate significant variances.
Maintain financial, statutory, and legal compliance for the company and related entities.
Provide ad hoc financial modelling, analysis, and reports to support operational decision-making.
Collaborate closely with the Financial Reporting team to provide high-quality support and service to the organization.
Experience & Education:
Professional Accounting Designation (CPA) required.
Previous experience in financial reporting or financial statement preparation is an asset.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Microsoft Great Plains and Adaptive is considered an asset.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
